Olympios Group in partnership with Siemens participated in the 88th TIF
Olympios Group proudly participated in the 88th Thessaloniki International Fair, where our Group Technology Officer, Mr. Vangelis Balokas actively engaged throughout the week and showcased our innovative water technology solutions in partnership with Siemens. The event was a significant opportunity to highlight our ongoing efforts in advancing water management and infrastructure, with a focus on digital technologies.
A key moment of our involvement was the participation of our Co-Founder, Mr. Nikolaos Petroulias, in the panel discussion titled “Digitalizing Water for Sustainable Cities” on September 11, 2024. The panel featured leading experts in water management and infrastructure, including: Professor Agis Papadopoulos, Chairman of EYATH, Mr. Nikolaos Petroulias, Co-Founder of Olympios Group, Dr. Vasileios Chatzikos, CEO of Siemens
During the discussion, Mr. Petroulias shared invaluable insights into the challenges and achievements our team faced while modernizing the water supply system (EYATH). He specifically addressed the complexity of upgrading infrastructure across 94 stations, highlighting the various obstacles posed by diverse equipment and outdated standards spanning multiple decades.
“One of the biggest challenges was managing a large-scale infrastructure upgrade across 94 stations, dealing with diverse equipment and standards from different decades. At the same time, we had to ensure minimal disruption to consumers while seamlessly integrating cutting-edge technology,” Mr. Petroulias explained.
Then he emphasized the importance of leveraging Siemens’ advanced technologies and remote monitoring systems. Through this approach, we optimized water management operations, enhanced operational efficiency, and created a more resilient water supply system. The use of real-time data and advanced analytics enabled us to address the city’s water needs more effectively and sustainably.
This insightful discussion reinforced Olympios Group’s dedication to leveraging advanced digital technologies for sustainable and efficient water management solutions, solidifying our position as a leader in this critical sector.
As we move forward, Olympios Group remains committed to transforming water management with cutting-edge innovations, driving a future of smarter, more resilient infrastructure.
