Olympios Group participated in the 1st Conference ‘Crete in the Perspective of Green Transition’

With great success, Olympios Group sponsored and participated in the 1st Conference”Crete in the Perspective of Green Transition”on Friday, October 4th at the Hellenic Mediterranean University. The event was organized by Water & Waste magazine in partnership with the university’s Business Administration and Tourism Department. The conference brought together a diverse range of participants, including industry experts, business leaders, and public sector representatives, to discuss key strategies and opportunities for driving Crete toward a more sustainable and environmentally friendly future.
The conference highlighted innovative technologies and solutions aimed at promoting sustainable water and waste management in Crete. Presentations were delivered by leading companies with extensive experience in the field, many of which collaborate closely with local municipalities to address environmental challenges.
Key discussions took place during three panel sessions, covering:
  • “Pay-As-You-Throw” – Waste reduction with benefits for citizens
  • “Comprehensive Waste Management in hotel facilities: Proposals and Solutions”
  • “Local Water and Sewerage Utilities (D.E.Y.A.) as Managers of Public Water Resources – The next day”
Our Group Commercial Officer, Thanasis Vacharidis had the opportunity to present our company and the competed project in Heraklion, sharing insights into our innovative improvements across key areas of water management network. This event allowed us to exchange valuable knowledge with key decision-makers from municipalities and industry leaders, fostering connections that will pave the way for future collaborations.
